This is my 4-wool drive

HERE’S a sports car you could pullover very smartly in — a Ferrari knitted from WOOL.

Let's hope she used a bargain basement wool. 12 miles is about 19312 meters or just over 134 skeins of Lion Brand Wool.

Nextbrick: Tom Johnson's Working Technic Knitting Machine

Cool.

Tom Johnson has built this Lego knitting machine out of Technic. It may not be the tightest weave we've ever seen (that honor goes to our Junior Prom date), but it's surprisingly functional for using what seems to be a bare minimum of beams.

Spaghetti Monster Tree Topper

Cool.

This Spaghetti Monster flew into our kitchen, circled around a few times and then chose to land
on the top of our Christmas Tree.
There he stayed, waving his noodly appendages and
muttering in Spaghetti lingo about pirates and climate change.

I'm adding this to my project list, right after I'm done with my sister's shawl and a nordic patern hat for me.

Illusion knitting is based on repeating throughout a set of stripes alternating 2 stockinette stitch rows in the foreground colour with 2 garter stich rows in the background colour. On RS, this will create a flat fabric for 3 rows followed by a bumpy one (the bumps caused by K on WS). When you get to knit the foreground pattern, you reverse this order: the background colour will be knit flat so that the bumps knit in the foreground colour can emerge. As a result, on RS, a slanted view will reveal the full illusion since you only get to see the bumps. From a frontal view, however, you will only see stripes, albeit slightly irregular in some places.

Add this to the list of things to make. Wouldn't this look good on someone named Thor?

Aw yeah. Enough with frilly girly cupcakes. It’s time for a MAN’s baby hat! Yar! Or whatever vikings say. Here we go.
