Electric Bath Duck
I found this image on a spam blog, but thought it was worth reposting here. This makes me think it would be fun to design and print packaging for similar fake products.

Threat Quality Press: Mayan Crystal Skull Apocalypse (TQP0012)
The Mysteries of the Crystal Skulls, was the most amazingly retarded thing I’ve ever seen in my life. This is saying something, because I remember, in my youth, watching specials about Atlantis, and the Chupacabra, and the Tunguska Blast, and none of them were as ridiculous as this.
I’m so glad I didn’t watch it now. Two guys at work today were talking about it, and they basically summed it up as thus: Take every myth, conspiracy theory, area 51, NASA cover-ups, mix it up, leave out Big Foot and you have the gist of the show.

Somehow I doubt that it is made of that many bricks.
A 2×4 brick measures 32mm x 16mm x 9.6mm and weighs 2.5 grams. Add it all up and we should be closer to 12 feet in diameter and weigh over 27,000 pounds.
However, if they are talking LEGO units (aka a 1×1 brick) then it might be possible. A 6 foot sphere would take about 625,000 2×4 bricks and still weigh over 3400 pounds.
I’ll call bull.

Billions of electronic-eating ‘crazy rasberry ants’ invade Texas - Times Online
Computers, burglar alarm systems, gas and electricity meters, iPods, telephone exchanges – all are considered food by the flea-sized ants, for reasons that have left scientists baffled.
This is a little scary. I wonder how long until we find an effective method of controlling these little buggers.

Sham by Steve Salerno - eBook - Random House
Self-help: To millions of Americans it seems like a godsend. To many others it seems like a joke. But as investigative reporter Steve Salerno reveals in this groundbreaking book, it’s neither—in fact it’s much worse than a joke. Going deep inside the Self-Help and Actualization Movement (fittingly, the words form the acronym SHAM), Salerno offers the first serious exposé of this multibillion-dollar industry and the real damage it is doing—not just to its paying customers, but to all of American society.
This would make a good companion book for Weakness Finder.
