checked this out with my 9 and 11 yr olds after your geekdad post. They seem to really like it. Reminds me of geocaching. Almost “tricking” kids into learning because it’s hidden inside of a fun activity…

Cool, it’s not a bad idea, but I think it is a little sparse on games and social features yet.

Anton…I got the 2 doko coins and we finally were able to connect up and register them. As far as websites go, this was had a lot of problems with design. It’s too bad, because the results from glowing reviews I keep seeing seem to be eluding us. I suppose we’ll buy a set and see what happens, but so far I’m not that impressed.

I was hoping they would fix some of the minor annoyances in the interface, but so far just a few bugs were fixed and nothing more.
I agree that it could be a lot better than it is.

What a rip off!! My kids begged me to buy these dumbo drops and they tried for hours to register them but couldn’t figure out the website — we tried to return them to toys “USED to be US” but becasue the box was opened — they said the code might have been used — so we were stuf with them. To add this dokodrop tale — when my kids got home they made they turned the doko’s into hockey pucks and broke a window in our house… needless to say we will not be buying any more
