The Most Effed up Fortune

Friday night I met up with Mark in New Braunfels for supper at China Kitchen. I had the sesame chicken in case you care. But aside from dining with Mark, the oddest part of the night was my fortune.

If it is meant to be, who are you to change that? It’s time to believe it.

WTH, I’ve never believed in fate, predestiny, or any variation of those themes and I’m not about to change that. If I have no control over my future, then what is the point of living, dreaming, or setting goals? To make it odder yet, the “Learn Chinese” word on the back was Hopeful, which they phoneticized as “yao xe waon”. I’ll interpret that to mean that I should hope that fate brings good fortune my way.

While I’m waiting on fate to do me good (or bad?), I think I’ll play my “lucky numbers” in the Lotto and see if that was what was meant to be.

21, 12, 14, 41, 6, 15.

Interesting that there are a couple palindromes there. If the 6 were 51, then I might think it is time to believe it. [Since some lotteries have a max number of 45 then maybe 6 is just an overflow of 51...]

Oh, if you play these numbers and win, please share!
