df_printer_proto.jpgDesktop Factory: Our Product

The Desktop Factory 3D printer builds durable, functional models from the bottom up, one layer at a time. The Desktop Factory 3D printer has a build speed comparable to existing 3D printing technologies, and produces robust parts that are strong enough to be thrown across a conference room table!

All for the low low price of $5k. I don't expect I'll be getting one anytime soon, but it'd sure be one helluva incentive to learn to use a good CAD program.

WARNING! What is described here will certainly void your warranty and cause your vexplorer remote to cease to function in the original fashion. Proceed at your own risk!

I have developed a module that can be soldered into the Vexplorer remote that allows computer control of the Vexplorer robot.

profmason comes up with a slick hack to control the VEXplorer with a computer. I'm more apt to purchase the VEX Starter Kit with micro-controller, better radio, and parts galore but it is an interesting read and could be adapted to control a number of inexpensive RC products.
