My family and I have arrived safely in San Antonio and found a house in the country. I started work this morning and am liking it so far.
Next step is getting our stuff delivered and figuring out how to get on the ‘net.
We’re a mile beyond the cable company’s reach so I’m looking for alternatives. I don’t even want to try DSL so I’m weighing the satellite and cellular options. At this time Verizon’s EV-DO is winning because we can get their fastest offering in our area at ~1.5Mbps. This would also be handy when we’re on the road.
With any luck things will settle down in 2-3 weeks and I can get back to writing bash tips and tricks.
